Kids Boxing

We deliver non contact Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE) boxing awards to students and young people, primarily between 5 and 16 years old. Our aim is to get young people involved in boxing, increase fitness and promote social inclusion through sport. These awards are also recognised by ASDAN. Boxing Classes

We run ABAE Preliminary, Standard and Bronze Boxing Award programs both within your time table or in evening or weekend boxing classes. We can also deliver one off boxing classes in your organisation or summer school. All boxing awards provide credits towards the ASDAN Boxing GCSE.

Please note, we also delivery non certified kids boxing classes and boxercise if required.


Each of the Boxing Awards are delivered over eight 45 minute boxing classes, all equipment is provided by Box Smart. Each award teaches boxing techniques and promotes fitness and social inclusion. All prices include equipment hire and assessment & certification fees.

Preliminary Boxing Award

An introduction to boxing, this award teaches participants about stance, torso movement, footwork, jab to the head/body, rear hand to the head/body, both in and out of range and defences. This award is worth one credit towards an ASDAN Boxing GCSE. This is all delivered in a supervised environment and is strictly non contact.

Standard Boxing Award

After successfully completing the Preliminary Award, participates will move on to the Standard Award. This award builds on the jab and rear hand techniques and defences from the previous award and incorporates punch combinations. Boxing general knowledge is also taught. This award is worth one credit towards an ASDAN Boxing GCSE. This is all delivered in a supervised environment and is strictly non contact.

Bronze Boxing Award

This award is for participates that have successfully completed the Preliminary and Standard awards. This award teaches further shadow boxing, non-contact sparring and the the basic rules of boxing as well as building on the techniques from the previous two awards. This award is worth one credit towards an ASDAN Boxing GCSE. This is all delivered in a supervised environment and is strictly non contact.
